The Role:

As a Business Development Consultant, you’ll be the driving force behind building and maintaining regional clients and key strategic partnerships to contribute to business growth. This newly created role will see you joining an existing team of highly passionate Business Development Consultants that cover the whole of Victoria.

This is a Hybrid role that will see you out on the road most days, managing your own scheduledeveloping new business, engaging in face-to-face client meetings, coordinating enrolments and nurturing existing clients. You’ll also be required to attend a team meeting at our Southbank office once a month on a Wednesday.

The successful candidate will hold a current driver’s licence, have access to a reliable vehicle, and be prepared to travel to regional areas as required. Based in and around Melbourne CBD, this role needs someone who loves being on the road and is ready to travel.

Do You Have What It Takes? 

YOU will be a driven self-starter with a strong sales background. You understand client needs and have a proven track record of winning clients and growing business opportunities. This will be achieved through establishing and building relationships via direct business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) engagement.

Your previous experience in a similar role or working in a Business Development role in another sector will enable you to build and maintain strong relationships in industry to manage large and diverse clients to achieve your goals and objectives.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in BSB/B2C sales (minimum 2 years)
  • Drive to consistently achieve targets
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • The ability to build successful long term business relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • WWC Check
  • Drivers Licence/Reliable vehicle

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education and Care and Aged Care
  • Demonstrated experience in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector
  • Qualifications in Business or Education Sector
