Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update March 2020 Thursday, March 26, 2020

In these last few weeks many individuals and businesses have faced significant personal and professional challenges as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). However, it is during the most challenging times that we must support each other the most, which is exactly what we intend to do.

As these unprecedented times progress, Catalyst Education will continue to operate and support you, your organisation and your educators. We hope that everyone is staying safe and well and our thoughts go out particularly to those whose families have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with care and compassion, clarity is of the utmost importance during a challenging period. As such, we have actioned flexible strategies based on the latest information available at this time to ensure we can continue to support our clients and our learners.

  • Placement and observations are currently on hold across all courses to maintain the health and safety of all
  • All learners are able to continue with the theory components of their course
  • Rolling intakes remains open for new learners to commence courses
  • For specific action plan information relating to our Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) please visit Selmar Institute of Education, Practical Outcomes or Royal College of Healthcare.

Video message from Jo Asquith, CEO

Education is vital to society and as such we will continue to provide the highest possible standard of training to all learners while supporting our clients’ needs. While face-to-face contact is restricted, supporting our community by observing social distancing, our trainers and client relationship team will continue to be available via email, phone and video calls.

At this stage, we do not know how long placement and observations will remain on hold, however we will keep you updated on this as information and recommendations from health authorities and the Government becomes available.

Our RTO’s intuitive online learning tools mean learners can continue to work towards their valuable qualification during these unprecedented times. Paper-based learners are also able to continue, with additional resources already distributed.

Essential information on the COVID-19 situation continues to be updated regularly and we are monitoring all reliable sources including school, centre and facility visitor restrictions and temporary closers. You can also track the latest Australian updates via the Australian Government Department of Health and the Department of Education, Skills and Employment. For global updates, visit the World Health Organisation’s website.

Should you require specific support or guidance during this time, we encourage you to reach and contact our team.
